My choice would be for AVG. You get a virus, spware, email and a link scanner. (I disabled the link scanner cause it's annoying.) In version 8 of AVG you get a resident shield (which scans files that are being copied/opened etc. in the background). Best thing about it is that it's free, so you can update whenever you feel like it. (Not sure what extra options you can get in the other viruses that make it worth the money). Add a decent firewall, like commodo (which is a lot better than windows firewall, according to tests), and you're pretty much safe from most internet attack. I wouldn’t go for any of these.
